In this class we focus on the whole proces of tapestry weaving, from concept to design to choosing the techniques that will give you the result you want.

You will create a design based on your ideas and inspiration and learn how to make this design into a cartoon ready to weave. We will talk about some of the decisions you have to make on warp choice, weft choice, sett, techniques, colours and finish. A small sampler of your work will help visualise the effects of your choices. Once you have some idea of where you are going you'll start weaving your tapestry, making further choices along the way.
